A Difficult Decision

One of the most challenging situations in caring for a person you love is realizing that you require a helping hand. At Aiken Memory Care, we recognize this is a challenge for our residents’ families and caregivers. We sincerely believe that any decisions regarding this challenge should not be rushed. When we hear our residents’ stories and the decisions to join our community, we are thrilled to know when there are positive reflections on the journey and the choice to choose us. We value our residents’ experiences in choosing us. Reflecting on testimonies helps us to curate our residents’ experiences.

One of our residents’ children wrote, “Placing our dad at Aiken Memory Care was a very difficult decision, but we knew he needed a higher level of care than he could get elsewhere. We considered several facilities in three different states and finally settled on AMC. We could not be more pleased and know we made the right decision. I've never dealt with a more caring and responsive group of people. They have made Dad feel like he belongs, and they treat him with respect--two things he hasn't gotten for a long time. It is a beautiful, modern facility tailored to deal with memory issues. It's been a life-changer for my dad and for our whole family.”

At AMC, we strive to be a source of life to not only our residents, but to their family members, and a breath of fresh air. It is so important to step in with care and bring long-awaited reprieve to caregivers.

Another one of our resident’s children writes, “My father has Parkinson's with dementia and progressed to the point that my mother could no longer take care of him by herself at home. We made the very difficult decision to place him in a memory care facility and decided on AMC. As difficult as that decision was to make, it was the right decision, and we chose the right place. Everyone there went above and beyond to make not only my father, but our entire family feel comfortable and at ease. The staff are kind, caring professionals and the facilities are first-rate. Everything is designed with memory patients and those needing assisted living in mind.”

Aiken Memory Care is a special community because of our dedication to memory care. This has allowed us to invest in our ability to care for very specific needs. Our team has carefully created an environment that will allow our residents to thrive and their families/caregivers to feel comfortable in transferring care. If you are faced with this difficult decision and are searching for assistance with care, please reach out to our community. We’d love the opportunity to show you why our community is one of the best in memory care.
