Made For Connection
Here at Aiken Memory Care, we believe that people are their best when they are connected. We pride ourselves on implementing innovative and engaging memory care. It is a part of our foundational principles to not only give our residents our best but to develop the best care programs through promoting engagement and community. Dementia can be an extremely debilitating disease, a disease that can prevent a person from connection, purpose, and at times, happiness. Here at AMC, we make it our mission to transform a person’s experience into something positive and uplifting. We want every one of our residents to feel welcomed, engaged, and excited about their time within our community. Our community was designed around our residents. We love telling others that AMC was “purposely designed." From our indoor bird aviaries, virtual aquariums, and natural light, and to our smart lighting programmed to align our resident’s circadian rhythm, every part has been carefully crafted to promote wellness.
In the same way that our design is purposely crafted, our calendar has been carefully created around our community members. We want every day to offer a new, exciting, and purposeful routine that helps stimulate our residents through activity and friendship. Some examples are our 10:30 Morning Inspiration, which is a wonderful way to wake up and set positive intentions for the day with those around you. Other examples are our 11:00 am fun aerobics designed to engage our members physically and mentally. A weekly bible study with Mr. Frank promotes spiritual engagement together, and our Friday movie night is a popular way to spend time with one’s friends and enjoy cinematography. We curate every week designed to stimulate connection and engagement. We offer so much more and highly recommend checking out thismonth’sschedule to see all of the ways our residents can get the most out of our community.
